AQUA GYM PLUS - THE TRX SPECIALISTS!
This new conditioning regime has been hailed by fitness gurus and sports stars alike and even the U.S. Army uses the training program. Unlike traditional weight training that tends to be linear and follow one plane of movement, suspension training encourages multi-planular training, or we can say ''3 dimensional'' which integrates all the body’s motions (to the side, backwards, forwards and diagonally).
In today’s world everything is mobile. From mobile phones to lap-top computers, people are able to do almost anything they want from anywhere they please. So why should they have to plan their daily schedule around going to the gym when they have a new mobile option available?
Mark Raynor, a certified personal trainer, has taken mobile physical fitness to a new level with the introduction of the TRX Suspension Training system to the island. The new fitness craze eliminates the need for the traditional weight set or a weight bench and just features heavy duty nylon straps that can be anchored to just about anywhere. From a door frame or a tree trunk, the system harnesses a person’s own body weight to create resistance. Bench presses, hamstring curl, shoulder presses, leg extensions and core work can be done using the straps.
“This one piece of equipment could take the place of just about every piece of equipment in the gym,” explained Mr. Raynor, who also trains clients at Mangos Gym in Somerset. “It’s a full-body work out and it can be tailored to be sport specific.”
